Systemaire commenced business in Perth, Western Australia in October 1987, shortly after the stock market crash. The founding partner and Managing Director had been in the HVAC industry for 22 years, initially as a design draftsman and then in fan sales with D. Richardson & Sons and Ziehl-ebm Australia.
Starting with a single office and a "shed" for a warehouse, the company gradually grew by adding various products to its range of fans (Fantech), Filters (Farr) and Air diffusion products (Ventitech). New product lines included cooling towers, air conditioners and evaporative coolers to service the HVAC industry.
With the additional product lines, more staff were needed to service the growing needs of customers, so much so, that within eighteen months of establishing the business, Systemaire, now with four staff, relocated to larger premises occupying 250m². Further growth meant more staff and larger premises.
The company mascot was a caricature of a salesman running over broken glass in bare feet with the words "Personal service Is a pleasure Not a pain". It was this philosophy that helped establish and grow the company in the HVAC market. Soon competitors in the fan industry started "dropping off the perch" as they could not match the high-quality service provided by Systemaire.
In March 2005 the company moved to a purpose-built office and warehouse building in the Perth industrial suburb of Malaga. This new building was 1200 square metres and provided ample space for warehouse inventory and the thirteen team members.
On 1st of August 2007 the business became part of Fantech Group, Systemaire's key supplier of fans and ventilation products over many years. Systemaire was now poised to expand further and establish itself as a leading provider of ventilation products in Western Australia and other markets across Australia.
To increase product availability and further improve our service to customers, Systemaire relocated again in early 2021 to larger 1450 square metre premises. This facility dramatically increased capacity due to its improved, more efficient layout and greater overall internal building volume.

We hold a huge range of residential and commercial air movement products in stock, which will save customers time and make ordering more efficient. Our stock includes an extensive range of fans, fire dampers, motors, diffusion products, filters, ducting, controls and ancillary equipment.
